You'll need a few supplies to make your training easier.

First, you'll need a logbook - a ledger for your flight time. You'll need to meet certain minimum flight time requirements to qualify for a certificate, and your logbook will serve as a reference. You'll keep one throughout your flying career.

A protractor/plotter helps you navigate. A flight computer - either electronic or a slide-rule - simplifies navigation calculations. A calculator is handy, too, if you use a slide-rule computer. A headset makes communications with your instructor and air traffic control easier.

When you purchase the Cessna CBI student pilot kit, you'll get everything you need to complete your lessons.
